If you are unfamiliar with the case:
Tldr is that this 17 year old black girl (and apparently others) were pimped out by some white dude and shot him in the back of the head, burnt his house down and stole his car instead of getting the police involved.
She's been charged with homicide and awaits her trial. R-slurs are reaching hard to try to equate this to the Rittenhouse case, even though it's almost nothing alike besides the fact that it was also committed in Kenosha. And she hasn't even been convicted yet.

The big difference is obviously that her actions appear to be pre-meditated.
Her claiming she started posting on backpage for food and notebook money is a lie, it was definitely drugs, lmao.
I think diversion is becoming extremely abused by activist prosecutors to let people get away with violence, but given her age, and the nature of the people she does appear to have been pimped by she probably should get some type of diversion deal.
The mobs will lose their shit if she’s not given a complete exoneration, but she’s someone I think would definitely reoffend unless there’s an actual concerted effort from the state to make sure she attends quality counseling, and finishes out high school or a GED. Her age and extenuating circumstances makes it seem like murder, or even manslaughter may be inappropriate. She’s definitely not on the fast track to becoming an upstanding adult though.

17’s a full adult as far as the state’s concerned. Also, it is unfortunately not super unusual for this type of pimping out to occur and rarely do those things result in murder and arson. She’ll lose for the same reason the Armaud Arbery guys will. You can’t claim self-defense if you chase them after the confrontation.
