But that would mean that our manufacturing sector is propped up by government spending programs, and that would mean that defense contractors have seized the means of production for the military industrial complex, and that would make the US military the largest and longest standing affiliation of socialist institutions the world has ever known.
Common sense only emerges out of pampered ideologues in times of extreme privation or wartime, and even then it's not guaranteed unless they are made to suffer from their own malignant ineptitude.
