As long as every item gets scanned, what's the problem? Dude is way out of line and this needs to go up the chain. But... I just gotta say .. buying that many cases that often is wild to me. It's your money to spend how you please, but you leave other collectors (casual or super into it) empty handed. Then you sell the pieces for inflated prices on Mercari... All because someone couldn't make it to the cases faster than you? You're selling the yellow bellied slider turtle for $80 ?!?! Just yuck. All those cases and all those sets sitting in your house (~1200 Mercari listings) collecting dust could have been enjoyed by so many different people in your area. But nope. You're reselling for insane price gouging amounts and justifying it because you bought them for Instagram content? (90)

I run a shop and make YouTube videos. I'm not just buying them for fun.And i went to 48 stores to find TWO turtles. It took me sixteen weeks traveling five states with my hubby for work. I'm sorry you don't like it, but I'm not scalping. If i even charged to cover the GAS i spent- to say NOTHING of the time .. they would be over $400. But i did it because my customers were begging me to find a handful of series 1 WAY after they all retired. You don't have to agree; but i didn't just sit on a bunch of older things until they became rare.... I physically went out there and worked my butt off to find just a couple of them well after they had retired literally all across the country. I don't think it's even remotely unfair to be charging what I am considering the amount of work that both my husband and I put in to going to every Dollar general, Walmart, Target, Five Below, Walgreens, and a handful of other stores- just to find the few that we found. Yeah... I'm really sympathetic because absolutely no one should be treated like this, but I'm so bummed hearing this is kind of the standard collector/reseller practices. Someone has been cleaning out all the targets in my area like this, buying everything new by the case, which means casual collectors with not a lot of money like me just don't even get a chance at the new stuff. I love people spreading rumors like I'm not the one that was sharing the weights with everyone MONTHS before anyone knew about the pinholes.And the only way I GOT those weights was by getting cases - weufhing them and sharing my results- for FREE on non monetized social media for MONTHS ON END.I LOVE people calling me a scalper when i sold THIRTY TWO turtles and 46 goldfish - all for under $21-$23 (back when Mercari fees cost me $14.70 to sell every $9.99 own).No one that was BEGGING me to find them all the balls they wanted had no problem paying $14-16 for the ones the wanted with no chance of doubles, but yeah, I'm really a monster.Why? Because after SIX MONTHS i tracked down FIFTEEN total wave 1 lifestyles by going from store to store to store over a FIVE STATE RADIUS (From South Jersey, md, nj, pa, ny, de and ct are all within 2-4 hours)- and i personally (despite being disabled) ran in and out of store after store with a baby strapped to my chest that i was pumping for...But ye... Dang, I looked through their Mercari, and they sold the goldfish one for $120 (but still have another for $145) and the promo espresso (the one on the box) without resin for $13. I don't think ANYONE should lay hands on anyone, but are these toys really bringing out this kind of behavior from employees and OP? Absolutely no one looks good here. (34)

Right. DONATE the item i drove around looking for for three months, instead of charging a reasonable amount to compensate for the time and gas i spent to find and buy it.I hate to break it to you... But Target, Walmart, Walgreens, Party City, Dollar General and literally EVERY store on the planet charges a markup on EVERY SINGLE item they sell - because they make it "convenient' for people to buy shit all in one place.But a disabled mother of two does the EXACT same thing - on a SINGLE product after charging nearly no makeup on thousands of items for two years... OP, do you regularly act like this when you're told no? This is unhinged and could be such a non-issue if you just accepted the fact that they said no the first time you asked. Regardless of corporate policy, I can think of multiple reasons this store might not allow customers to take the display boxes off the top of my head. You also mentioned that this has escalated to employees taking the boxes out of your cart before. It sounds like you continue to ignore this rule and attempt to take it anyways? If you're still taking the boxes after being told you cannot, that IS theft. To be clear, you're not buying a case. You are buying individual Miniverse balls. They do not sell them by the case. You have zero entitlement to the box it comes in, regardless of what other stores allow. It's nobody's fault but your own if you didn't bring your own bags or box for this. .... You do realize when they first come out that you don't know what's in the case until you've bought a full one right...?And to actually get a good average on the weights that I gave out for free for years to help people avoid buying doubles who don't have the money to spend on a ton of collectibles.... That I often bought at least two or three cases so that I could be sure that my weights were accurate.... But... Yeah, I totally see how that's super selfish...It's not like everything I'm saying is completely provable by going back and looking at years of my history on Instagram... (-15)

Remember to breathe here lady I get your point but you are starting to just sound angry at everyone regardless of what they are saying and it's not helping your case. Just bc a lot of these people sound harsh and kinda rude ( but I see their point too up to a certain extent) doesn't mean you need to too. I was always told you catch more flies with honey then you do with vinegar— meaning if you need or want people on your side or whatever then you need to be as polite as possible.
