The wiki article for Learn to Code is r-slurred, doesn't allow mentions of it's origin

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Learn_to_Code

Why you ask?

No you didn't, you already know why

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Learn_to_Code

>During a campaign rally back in 2019, then-Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden spoke to a crowd in a coal mining town. Advocating a green agenda, the audience was understandably unhappy. To console the coal miners, Biden offered some career advice: “Learn to code.”

>Do these sources identify this as the origin of the term?

Harassment of journ*lists

In January 2019 Huffington Post, Gannett, BuzzFeed and Verizon Media announced layoffs of journ*lists. As the journ*lists confirmed their involvement on social media, strangers responded with a torrent of mockery and hate speech mixed with suggestions to learn to code. The harassment was found to be coordinated on 4chan, a lightly moderated and anonymous message board that had previously coordinated the G*merGate campaign.

The two articles they sourced for this have no screenshots or archive links, just "trust me bro".

Wikipedia exists to launder the narrative into fact so this is not surprising in the least. Also tying in “learn to code” with GG lmao.

And I'm supposed to just trust them? Both of the writers don't work at their respective companies anymore.

Above user decided to chime in on this topic after 3 years of inactivity, less than a day after G*mergate veteran Carl Benjamin tweeted about it and made these exact same talking points. Of course it would be much more helpful if he could provide reliable third party sources which explicitly state that Learn to Code was indeed just regular working class people echoing Biden's words to take out their frustration on some elitist journ*lists, as opposed to one of the far right's many attacks on the free press, which is how every single reliable third party source characterizes it. 46.97.170.32 (talk) 09:18, 17 July 2023 (UTC)

Wikipedia editors are r-slurs and have biases. The article for the battle of bakhmut took months for them to add "Russian victory" because apparently the Russians capturing it isnt always a victory.
