There is an episode of Doctor Who from 2010 called 'Victory of the Daleks', where the Doctor teams up with Winston Churchill.
That couldn't be made nowadays. If the show ever featured Churchill again, he would either be a villain or the Doctor would lecture him about racism and colonialism.
I really like 2006's 'Tooth and Claw' featuring Queen Victoria. Lmao imagine what Dr Whoke would say about her now.

Yeah it was pretty gay. One of the main supporting cast back in 1995 was Captain Jack Harckness, played by John Barrowman. While something of a pansexual (i.e. man-whore), he favoured men.
It was great though. The quality started dropping from maybe 2014. I tapped out in 2015.
