It's a shame no OS non-federated platform reached the same popularity as here. Not surprised, but still disappointed.

It really sucks. Closest I can think is with various small alt chans using vichan or lainchan. They're not federated but a few have like an overboard / notification kind of thing that links to the others in β€œnetwork”
