Any woman can make a baby. If someone can pursue a doctorate, that may be better for society in general. Or, it may not be. But I'm a burger and I think people should make their own choices about what to do with their lives.

CS has high percentage of PhD students in west Europe since outside moving to U.S. it's the only way to find somewhat interesting related job to your studies so when foid get master in CS she most of times continues studying. But my university is also somehow short in psychology PhD foids students despite there being thousands psychology students and like less than 10% are guys.

There are many self aggrandizing people who suck themselves off for getting a PhD. Being someone who isn't socially aware enough to realize doing so is cringe doesn't mean they're significantly less competent, tons of people with high publication impact/papers in reputable journals are elitist peepeeheads who make academia their whole personality.
Getting a PhD in the sciences is an indication of your education level and your ability to (ideally) self motivate and plan and execute research in unexplored areas of fundamental science.
Being annoyingly into yourself seems somewhat correlated to that, you're just seeing the intersection of self-worship and being a woman on social media.
