I thought season 1 was pretty bad and got like 3 episodes in. Then I started reading the wheel of time series again after about 10 years. I had a couple of days between finishing Eye of the World until amazon delivered The Great Hunt, so i figure I would binge season 1 and 2. It's so much worse with everything fresh on your mind. I get they wanted to introduce the characters in season 1 instead of waiting half way through the series for you to understand all the characters better but holy shit have they butchered the books. The best part of the first 1/3 of the series, in some ways, is the utter ignorance of almost every character. The women in the books make some generally terrible decisions and it's like the show tried to make them less dumb but somehow managed to make them shallow idiots instead. No character in the show has any personality whatsoever. It's like pooping on my childhood to make the show like this.
