Won't this all balance out as AI takes our jobs? We really don't need that many people. The people who should be having kids should be the ones who really love children: latinxcels and mormons.

This is legitimately the thing that AI and automation should be solving but the problem is that no matter what, the magic line must go up, and that requires generation after generation of new consoomers.

Line can go up by increasing efficiency or innovation.

The need for at least a static population derives from the fact that olds become infirm and useless and unlike the Inuit policy of putting them on a slab of ice and floating out to die elsewhere, modern society gives them pensions that are paid by young wagies

Since they've successfully used yamanaka factors to reverse aging in mice, you can expect that your stay on this planet will be much longer than you anticipated because we need workers, and it just so happens that 300 year olds will soon be able to write code

>and it just so happens that 300 year olds will soon be able to write code work in the asteroid mines

Ftfy, the machines will be doing the coding, you will just exist to be cheap labor and consoom the AI slop.

Just like in Star Wars! BTW, I'm so excited that Immortal George Lucas is rebooting the franchise again for its 600 year anniversary, now that copyright has been made eternal! I'm going to watch in my 50sqft cell on Ceres with pod vision and enjoy a nice imitation IPA from the algae vats!

none of these changes will negatively affect me, as a 300 IQ super genius, no AI could replace me at the job of writing React frontends

Wait... They for real reversed aging in mice? It's not just a meme?

It's a meme. You know this.

They've "reversed" aging in quick aging mice specifically. The results don't even generalize to regular mice, never mind other species.

Ah so it's bullshit. Thanks

It'd balance out more by the fact that most migrants are a fiscal net drain and their kids often regress to how they were in their country of origin.

Not really, unless you're looking at CIS or FAIRUS "reports" that do shit like count American born spouses of Immigrants and their children, or just straight-line extrapolation not counting actual usage of benefits.

Doesn't mean that unlimited immigration is a sustainable thing.

Immigrants have a more positive net fiscal impact than that of native‐born Americans in most scenarios in the Updated Model and in every scenario in the Cato Model, depending on how the costs of public goods are allocated. The Cato Model finds that immigrant individuals who arrive at age 25 and who are high school dropouts have a net fiscal impact of +$216,000 in net present value terms, which does not include their descendants. Including the fiscal impact of those immigrants' descendants reduces those immigrants' net fiscal impact to +$57,000. By comparison, native‐born American high school dropouts of the same age have a net fiscal impact of βˆ’$32,000 that drops to βˆ’$177,000 when their descendants are included (see Table 31).

The United States is peculiar because it's absolutely hard to exploit welfare there and even migrants have no choice but to wagecuck. Heck, even most blacks are boring wagecucks despite the memes of them being all thugs.

In Europe migrants are all on welfare, double dipping with cash work and living in insular societies. Canada doesn't really get the good :marseytunaktunak:s either so they're going backwards on a GDP per capita basis.

Plus that Cato report forgets that native born kids have to attend public school and aren't working for the first 18 years of their life. A quarter of someone's life being spent not working and at public school will of course load the stats in favor of people that turn up at 25.

Oh yeah, I forgot Europe likes to give able bodied people welfare for no good reason lmao

You always have to take CATO with a grain of salt, but the other ones I mentioned like CIS and FAIRUS (and the same shit along with NumbersUSA and many other sockpuppets--actually--since they were founded by John Tanton, an r-slured Malthusian and yankee Optometrist) are literally just a c*nt hair away from being outright lies.

But yeah, part of the benefit of immigration is the parasitic drag on another country. "Oh you got your PhD and you're moving to California? Awesome investment on our part"

All that Cato shit is utter BS that looks only at legal migrants. We have an open border flooding us with illegals who aren't even Mexican anymore

that's legal immigrants, no?

let's see the numbers for e.g. "refugees"

No one has figured out how to make an AI wipe grandma's butt. Nothing even close.

It sounds like a good thing? there'll still be jobs when at least halfof them get eliminated from AI
