Here's my detailed analysis as a definitely real certified hip-hop head. I will be giving it points for things it does better than push ups: (+) and subtracting a point for corny/weak shit: (-)

--First 3 minutes are lame as frick. How are you gonna say you make the music that electrify them and drake pacify's them on top of the gayest beat. Also, what a weird way to start a diss track.

+Much more re-listenable than push ups. I could listen to it over and over and it was still fun + picked up on some new lines with re-listens.

+Kendrick obviously has better flow than Drake.

+Better lyricist.

-Content of the lyrics was way weaker though. The disses were pretty soft blows for the most part and nothing new/heinous. Kendrick p much says this is still him being friendly and it's true bc Drake hit a lot harder

+Sexxy Red bars were hilarious

+1v20 comeback was smart.

-Missed some obvious comebacks. He should have said that yeah he wears size 7 men's, but Drake wears size 7 women's. Like it would go perfectly into the sexxy red part. If I could think of that in 5 minutes, Kendrick should have had some better responses.

-The whole track felt pretty defensive. Like he had several bars telling Drake not to bring up his family, and pre-emptively saying it's made up shit. Feels like he knows that Drake knows about something bad and he really doesn't want it out. Still gives him a lot of respect, calls him a GOAT, complements some tracks while Drake just went full diss. It did not work for MGK and does not work for Kendrick.

-Drake's track proved that he can still rap hard. Kendrick's didn't rly prove anything about Kendrick, just that he can do the same shit he always does.

Overall score of -1. While I actually like this song better than Drake's, I think it's an L on the rap battlefront. What he needs to do is take anything that Drake does (I'm sure he tweeted some shit/will tweet) in the next few days as an excuse to drop another track that is shorter and extremely toxic & revealing.
