Probably because us men are not particularly good about supporting each other in general.

Women are terrible at supporting each other, though.

It's not actually supportive to flatter someone and tell them they should stay exactly how they are. That's just choosing the path of least resistance so people will like you.

They'll feel better in that moment, but your kind words won't stop them from dying on the potty at 38.
