Making fun of people has never made me hate them. Trans people, white people, black people, whatever. When they're made fun of for doing goofy shit that doesn't make me want to commit violence. How can anyone even claim that?

Where is the path from "A dude not shaving his beard and putting on a dress is kinda funny" to "I want to kill him for doing that"? I don't think it exists. The only thing that makes otherwise ordinary people want to commit violence against them isn't who they are sexually, it's who they are as a person: typically for being smug entitled buttholes.

If anything making fun of goofy fricks humanizes them, showing that they're not some aliens they're just ordinary people. Telling people "you can't make fun of this (((particular group)))" is what actually makes people hate that group.
