Additionally, doctors have no idea how to get patients to lose weight without drugs or surgery. There's never a been a study that's shown a significant amount of obese patients have been able to reverse obesity on the long term through diet and exercise alone.

A little napkin math… each lb of body fat is about 3,500 calories, so 1,575,000 calories for a 450 lb gain. At 200 lbs she would need around 2,150 a day just to maintain… so that's another 784,750 calories in the year…

2,359,750 calories total equals out to 6,465 calories per day over the course of the year. It's definitely doable, but god darn.

It's not doable because the human body isn't a scalable hypothetical reactor. At a certain point of overeating, the body simply can't process the massive excess. 2-3 pounds of consistent fat gain per week is the limit.

One of the tragedies of obesity is that the more gluttonous you are, the better your body gets at processing massive amounts of calories.

Is 2150 foid + no exercise specific? Im pretty sure the average adult man eats more than that

I just googled β€œcalories to maintain weight 200 lb female” tbh so it may be a little off. I don't think it changes too much tho, even if I plug in 3000 a day for maintenance it only jumps up to 7,315/day for a year. It's insane, but doable. Phelps used to do 10,000 a day

If only. Do you know how many fat women teach at medical schools? Do you know how many of them also have fat daughters? It's bullshit. "Noooo, don't put weight on the admit." B-word, they need to know when they have a buffalo coming up.
