The hole in the battery pack turned out to be damage that was classified as “exterior damage,” resulting in a repair bill of over $13,000. Of course, that amount wasn't covered by warranty.
When I was in the market for a new electric car, I rented a Polestar from Hertz to try it out. Waiting in the lobby, I was no longer surprised at why these $60k cars were selling for $30k after being rented out. The absolute SPECIMENS waiting on a Tesla, holy shit.
At least two Teslas were being towed into the lot while I was there. "It just quit on the highway." I'm sure it did, Tenisha.
I ended up just buying a new Hyundai Ioniq 6 for the same price one of these used EVs.

The fastest car on the road is always a rental I might have left the parking brake on too while driving when getting used to it.

My mom got an electric Hyundai Kona from a car rental place and it's running great. Is this a high-end EV problem?

I've never had an issue with mine, either. Probably something to do with Hyundai making cars instead of iPads with wheels.
