I was at a tailgate a few years ago. There was a toddler, probably about a year and a half at the tailgate next to us. She climbs up the stairs on the camper at the tailgate and takes a tumble. She gets up, dusts herself off and looks around. Dad's looking at her, not doing a thing. About a second later, mom rushed over and starts fussing over her. The toddler starts bawling. It was hilarious. The little turd knew what she was doing.

Many such cases. You learn pretty quick what the toddler can handle what they can't.

If they want to keep playing they will. Seen my toddler take some nasty spills but since her cousins were around she dusted it off.

If grandma is around, she'll start crying at the breeze for attention

You just know he's hiding his lack of chin underneath that beard.

Kid is probably more startled and scared from dad yelling then being plopped on the ground.
