!goomblers and !goyslopenjoyers crossover!, for any of you who have gone to casinos - what was the food like?, if you were a gambler, were you offered free comps and stuff?, or have any of you just gone to casinos simply to eat and stuff?

I went there like five years ago, I think it was $60 a person at the time. It totally wasn't worth it money wise but just once for the experience is probably worth it. The food is all really good and they have basically everything you could think of.

As one of the !historychads myself, how are their Roman Empire gimmick and aesthetics?, the Luxor Casino or whatever also really interests me because of their whole :capypharaoh: :marseypharaoh: aesthetics and stuff, would I enjoy them as a general history autist?

Yeah all the themed casinos go all out. It's really tacky lol. There's a mall in Caesar's Palace, The Forum Shops, that's pretty neat though.

All overpriced garbage but it's fun to walk through.

that is a little steep but darn that shit looks bomb. But I mean nowadays with how expensive shit is I could easily eat 60 dollars worth of food, especially at somewhere expensive.

I would find it very hard to enjoy eating here, with 80$ burned at the door I would be stressing about only eating "the best" thing I can find.

Just eat two or three meals there over the course of 6 hours.

There's a 90 minute time limit. They write down when you're seated on your ticket and they'll drag you out if you try to overstay.

My grandma always said Vegas was better when the mob ran the show. You could see the rat pack and have surf and turf for $20.

I went to a casino in Albuquerque once just for the food. Was pretty good :#marseyboomer:

I have a persistent delusion that I could budget for a trip as a VIP for like a week and have an awesome :marseygoodshit: time in vegas, this certainly wouldn't lead to any unwanted behaviour later :marseywave2: :marseyluckycat:

My wife and I did this last year while we were in Vegas. It's always packed af so make sure you make a reservation a few days in advance. It's like $80 a person and there's a 90 minute time limit (they write the time you're seated on your ticket and they will absolutely drag you out if you try to overstay). It was probably the best food I've ever eaten though, everything was cooked to perfection, which is really unusual for a buffet imo.

If I could afford it we would eat there every day, 10/10 experience.

The only time I've ever gotten food at a casino, I had just won 2k on a slot machine jackpot (:marseybased:) and then got a couple beers and a steak on my company's dime (double :marseybased:), so I have no complaints.

Covid killed all the cheaper buffets on the strip. They probably figured they don't need them to get the goomblers in the door anymore. Still get free booze when gambling though.
