"It's just a prank, bro" [POLICE CALLED]

Office Prank gone wrong

The guys at my work always do a prank on new starters.

They wait till they've gone for lunch, and the victim comes in to find us all listening to the โ€˜radio' in shock.

What's actually been played is a fictional podcast dramatising news being reported about a nuclear bomb going off in the states.

Everyone is like โ€˜OMG', the new starter gets a fright and they we all go โ€˜wheeeeey'

Hilarious. Right?

Anyway, I am not the ring leader but I did participate.

This was done on a lady yesterday who, we didn't know, has lots of family in Washington DC, the state โ€˜where the bomb killed everyone'

She went into absolute shock, to the point where we nearly called an ambo.

Luckily the manager calmed her down and got her into a relaxed state but now she has left and is going on about calling the police on all of us.

I am really scared as even though it wasn't my idea I still โ€˜joined in'

Am I screwed? I'm really worried

I'll never forget where I was when I heard about 911, we were all huddled around the wireless set, listening to Roosevelt's fireside chat when the news came in.

I was shitposting on /r/drama, which back in those days was just a "subreddit" which is a fancy word for a forum. Anyway I was teasing some Americans about how some of them are OK and that they should stay away from Manhattan that morning when an CIA agent banged on my door and threw a bag over my head. I was confused to start with because being a Bong, I assumed it'd always be the rozzers that got me for saying mean things on twitter, which was the old word for X, but here I was getting punched in the gut while tied up in a van by the CIA asking me questions about Saudis and twin towers of which I had no idea.

They let me go once they checked all my computers and figured out I was just a big r-slur.

If you didn't watch the towers fall from Sears you're not a real American.
