They put the peepee in The Pianist

But seriously, all Redditors innately feel this way. It's fascinating to listen to Redditors criticize Russia for its invasion of Ukraine because they can't quite go all the way. Communism is their religion. They buy into the myth that Russia was the primary victor of WW2 (which is not true; they did comparatively little; the war was really won by the USA). They love Stalin and Stalinist policies.

Listening to Reddit b-word about Putin is like listening to a proud parent who is only temporarily embarassed by their child's bad behavior. I'm sure if Putin puts some kulaks into the gulag, he'll be back in Reddit's good graces once again.

Eternal reminder: if the Soviet Union and Britain ceased to exist in 1941, the USA could have beat both Germany and Japan with one hand tied behind its back. And for all their anti-Putin rhetoric, this fact just absolutely burns the Reddit butt. Don't let the "we hate Russia" slogan fool you: Redditors are communists, and they will always love Russia.

Wtf? Where did you hear this? Even the U.S. army doesn't say that. Over seventy percent of German casualties were inflicted by the Soviets.

Which, as we all know, was the only Axis power. And, of course, the USSR accomplished their kills totally without US assistance for food, machinery, and factory construction.

Didn't the supply lines for the red army run on like 95% American trucks? They may have provided the bodies but we provided the actual hardware.

Not to mention the Pacific theater which was entirely America the whole time (except I think some British troops in Burma or something? but that was a sideshow). The USSR swooped in at the very end when the US had already effectively defeated Japan to help themselves to some of the spoils, though.

The Allied powers would have won without the USSR. It might have taken a bit longer but consider that the bombs dropped on Japan (which likely weren't 100% necessary, although without them the war would have dragged on a couple more months) would have been dropped on Germany instead.

Most of the lend-lease only kicked in after Stalingrad when the war was won already
