Seems like it's pretty much a physical law at this point that public association of any kind with KF or the broader lolcow plains is guaranteed to get you circling the drain within a few years. It might seem like it's only because cows attract other cows, but there are a lot of cases where you had people starting out with a seemingly good head on their shoulders and enough apparent social competence to maintain some distance from the cows while staying in good graces with them and KF generally. Nick Rekieta, Peepee Masterson, Ethan Ralph, Tonkasaw, Andy Warski, Lowtax. These were all people that were 'in on the joke,' and were able to just subsist as content creators without getting sucked into the drama. Yet all of them end up getting chewed up and spat out for one reason or another. The only exceptions are Mister Metokur and Josh himself; Jim isn't too surprising since he had the least autism and knew not to take thing seriously, but how Josh hasn't been dragged down is an honest to God mystery.
