Funny thing is, for the longest time there was a theory that Le Pen's party was created in the 70s to weaken the right. After De Gaulle left in 1969, the left and center were in power for 25 years.
Zemmour's party IMO is the same thing, and it's good for the chuds that it's exploding.

Debatable. Like one of the twitter comments is claiming in the thread. Zemmour's party also had the credit of being used as the new "super-duper villain party" scapegoat, making Le Pen's party look reasonable next to it. This reassured a lot of frog vooters couple years back voting for Le Pen, knowing they weren't opting for the most lunatic guy on the bracket.
