Yeah and the fact he ALMOST got out but slipped FURTHER is just stomach churning. There is only one other story I have read that is close, where there were divers in some underwater entrance to a series of piping and they got sucked deep into the pipe. There was one survivor who climbed back through the pitch black pipe which had underwater sections etc.
