Why are men against women in the military (Janny had to shut this one down). Female soldiers don't end up fricking everyone on deployments and ruining unit cohesion that's for sure.

Yes. The economy is good in sense that you can make $20/hr at random fast food jobs. We aren't at war so there's no patriotic fervor like there was 20 years ago. And they also came out with a new system a couple of years ago called Genesis that checks people entire medical record, so a lot of people who want to join are disqualified.
Before Genesis, you could just lie on the medical exam and get in because they didn't have access to your medical record. Now you can't, and a bunch of increasingly common stuff like asthma, ADHD, anxiety, depression, broken bones, etc. is disqualifying. Some of it can be waived, some cannot.
