Google maps sends you through ghettos where you're more likely to get robbed, r*ped, and murdered because they want to help ""low income communities""

I moved out of my hustle and bustle to the countryside a few hours away during Covid. I still need to go back occasionally to meet friends or network. Without fail whenever I use google maps to navigate it insists on driving me through the absolute worst favela tier parts of the city.

Of course I'm aware of this policy google implemented a few years ago so I will make a custom route that takes just as long but avoids the ghetto. Google will then throughout my trip sneakily attempt to force me to go through the ghetto anyway. A sneaky dialogue will pop up “a faster route was found saving you 2 minutes” which you have 10 seconds to cancel (while driving mind you) or it will automatically switch you back to googles preferred route.

This trip takes about 3 hours so saving 2 minutes is so insignificant I'm shocked that google even tries to correct me (except I'm not cause I know their motive isn't to give me the best route but to get me to stop in some black neighborhood and buy Jamaican beef patty slop to help disenfranchised communities). Even if you catch this and say “no I'd rather drive through the white neighborhood” it'll still try at least 5 more times during the trip to switch my route.

Google is total cuck tier, imagine my surprise this little soyboy nerd actually fought against a feature that people actively request and he even wants himself to score virtue signal points.
