I have watched every David Lynch film.
His Dune movie was the only one i legitimately hated.
Villeneuve's Dune films were watchable but kind of dull. The main character is too bland to carry those films.
Jodorowsky's The Incal, a bunch of brilliant 70s hippy nonsense that only exists because of Dune, flawed as it may be, is superior to Dune. I will die on this hill.

You liked Fire Walk with Me? I actually had to rewatch that movie to confirm that it was as r-slurred as I thought it was the first time.

It's some of the worst Twin Peaks there is (along with the middle of Season 2 and fricking Dougie in The Return).
I didnt outright hate it tho.

Lynch Dune is a terrible book adaptation that misses most of the book's themes but it's a very memorable though cheesy movie with some great set design, acting, and music. It's one of those "so weird and crazy that it's fun" movies.
Villenueve's Dune is a somewhat better book adaptation but he starts to make a bunch of pointless changes to the book in Part 2, although he at least keeps more of the book's themes than Lynch did. However, I find Villenueve's Dune to be pretty forgettable and bland, I have no desire to rewatch it.
