I'm a high school teacher, today I taught my class about the Bolshevik Revolution and they mostly agreed that Marxism is the only path towards liberation. One student argued but we changed his mind quickly.

Marx had some useful concepts that I only found out about recently. ‘The superstructure of production' is one that I think is useful, probably not quite as he intended it. There was another one, but I forgot it.
I still remember being told IRL by a reddit communist that I couldn't possibly comprehend communism because I've been thoroughly brainwashed by capitalism since birth (false consciousness). I won't dox myself to say why that's probably untrue, but I will say that this was coming from a Pokémon-loving, funko pop collecting kinda guy, before it became a meme. Taking this moment to say that it's a good thing Marx grew up in a communist utopia, and was therefore able to imagine one.
