I used to work near one of their offices. A constant churn of people to the point where over 4 years there were only about 6 people I recognized. Those six were very slick and nearly got my assistant into some dumb insurance product.

Financial companies love athletes like this. Roger Stabauch became a CRE power broker who sold off his company for like $600 million and most brokers over the age of 55 have a story of losing a deal because of a signed football.

Definitely. Still requires a sales mindset but it's a lot easier when you can talk about your college sports career to the 45+ year old pining for those days.

Itt post your favorite northwestern mutual internship stories,

I remember I thought it was a legit internship in my first interview and then for interview 2 they asked me to bring some contact info as "homework".

Then I thought it was odd and didn't show up for interview 2 (got a lot of angry emails from the interviewer who chilled in a library for 2 hours waiting).

Then I scheduled an interview 3 (wasn't sure if I was going to get an actual internship) and then just ghosted him after I got a legit internship (hopefully he didn't spend another 2 hours at a coffee shop).
