A week ago I was going to hook up with a guy and my period suddenly starts like two hours before he's arriving. I panic and stick two of those triangle makeup sponges inside of me. Well, as I was rushing and panicking, I actually inserted 3, not 2. But I forgot... so when he left, I removed 2 sponges and thought everything was fine.
3-4 days go by and my period is over, but brown liquid is dripping out of my vagina all day long. Not discharge, super watery brown liquid. It smells so bad. Nope, not fishy. It smells like feces. Yep. Straight up. Pretty sure that sponge had both sperm and period blood in it. I'M SORRY. I've never smelled anything so bad.
On day 7, I finally went to the pharmacy and got vaginal gel, thinking I was suffering from bacterial vaginosis. I squirt a lottt of it up there and pray it'll fix this. A couple hours later I have to go number 2, and when I push... I feel something coming out of my vagina. I thought "Oh heck no. There's no way" and there it is, the last sponge I'd forgotten was there. It's not hard like a tampon, it's super soft so I never felt it.
I'm so disgusted with myself. I've had this sponge inside of me for A WEEK. With sperm in it. Should I do something even though it's gone now? Should I see a gyno??? I'm so embarrassed and feel so dirty.
