Concept art. Doesn't look like AI to me :marseyshrug:

Especially considering the all-too-real hacky writing on display :marseyyikes:

TL;DR: "it was all a dream" fakeout, he was never a hero and it was just schizophrenic delusions. Gosalyn is non-binary too

the alien itself only shows up very briefly throughout the film

Is that really a bad thing though? I think it works fine like that. Definitely better than showing the monster too much.

Showing the monster too much is bad for a horror movie like "Alien", but showing the monsters being blown apart by bullets is great for an action flick like "Aliens"

Okay hear me out, yes hiding the creature can work to a movie's advantage with regards to suspense, like Jaws, but it reeeeally doesn't here. In Jaws, the shark shows up more and more as the movie goes on until he's in full view constantly. Good payoff.

The alien though... kinda doesn't. His on-screen runtime is really low even at the climax of the film. The final kill of the movie is done mostly off-screen (unlike Jaws where the shark literally jumps onto the fricking boat to eat the guy).

Aliens however shows more and more of them as the film goes on until its climax with the Queen on full display. It doesn't leave you wanting more alien like the first film does (for me).
