Concept art. Doesn't look like AI to me :marseyshrug:

Especially considering the all-too-real hacky writing on display :marseyyikes:

TL;DR: "it was all a dream" fakeout, he was never a hero and it was just schizophrenic delusions. Gosalyn is non-binary too

!millenials they're raping your childhood again! :marseydisney:

Thoughts on the Aliens directors cut? I like it, but I know some people think it adds to much.

I've only ever seen the director's cut, but looking up the changes:

  • Ripley's dead daughter scene

Gives us a good sense of where we are in the timeline (by showing just how long Ripley was out there), adds a bit of needed character building, and gives Ripley a motivation to do all this shit in the movie (if we assumed she still had a family, her motivations for going back to a death planet become harder to justify)

  • The scenes of the colony prior to the infestation

Look we all knew exactly what happened to them even without seeing it so hiding this part doesn't do much. Plus it shows us what the colony was like before getting attacked - remember the last time the audience saw this planet was when it was uninhabited so we need a good frame of reference.

  • the sentries

It's just a cool scene with some cool guns. What's not to like?

Director's cut sounds better to me.
