/r/inthenews/ - This appears to be a subreddit made by a /r/worldnews mod because the normal subreddits are somehow not democrat leaning enough

Now why would a top /r/worldnews mod need to make an alternate subreddit apparently for the same thing?

The entire subreddit is just entirely bordering on delusional cope about Trump losing horribly right now, I suspect for the purpose of having an extra source to show up on /r/all and /r/popular.

All threads are extremely heavily moderated or locked, and submissions are auto hidden until approved.

Blatant propaganda

It's not really a new subreddit.

Powerjannies make duplicates like this as it allows them to astroturf the front page more effectively. A single sub can only have one or two entries there at a time, with multiple subs the entire feed becomes political campaigning material.

That's why you had a dozen or so "against Trump" subs. The community wasn't fractured, wingcuck activists just knew how to duplicate material and exploit the trending algorithm.

Plus, you can crosspost the same thing over and over again.
