This is certainly one of the fricking takes of all time.
He got 13 americans killed and abandoned 10s of billions of dollars of military tech not to mention leaving thousands of americans + afghan allies behind to be slaughtered by the taliban in an insanely chaotic and disorganized mess that permanently plunged his approval rating below 50%.
His utter failure here was a direct causal effect to Putin invading Ukraine, especially when he explicitly said a small invasion would be totally fine.
The pandemic was over before he took office to the extent that human intervention was meaningful at all. All the variants that came after ran their course as nature intended, uninhibited by mask mandates, vax mandates or anything else.
Inflation was caused BY HIM. And it's still not under control.
Finally, if he wanted credibility for stepping down, it had to be done BEFORE the democrat primaries. Doing it now after Trump humiliated him in the debate and his party forced him out is not respectable by any stretch of the imagination.
