No it's not, it's money to pay the shelter. The people working there like making money too and that's what they make money on.
I have friends who sometimes foster animals from shelters. One time they were fostering a cat. This means they were paying to feed and care for a cat (including vet bills) for the shelter all entirely free, but when they decided they wanted to adopt the cat they were foster, the shelter shook them down for like a $250 adoption fee. Obviously none of that money goes to the fosters.

I would fully support a total ban on dog ownership if I could. But in the end the shelters are full of pitbull and pitbull mixes and adopting from there is a lottery.
That's my point, people who adopt from shelters are too stupid to distinguish pibbles from other dogs and keep adopting murderous dogs and letting them loose in their neighborhoods.

PSA for everyone thinking I don't realized possible future health issues.. I am aware, and preventive measures will be taken to the best of my abilities. If issues do arise I promise y'all swift actions will be taken. This isn't my first Dal, or dog for that matter. As of right now she's just as happy and healthy as every other dog out there. I'd appreciate it if y'all wouldn't talk about her like she's some kind of abomination. (Also I researched the breeder before purchasing and found zero negative reviews on the pups said person has produced) Yes the first pic of her is in a cage, no that is not where she was kept until someone were to purchase her. The breeder has a farm with plenty of acres for her animals to run around on. And for the second picture she was car sick when I brought her home so she wasn't feeling too hot.
