What will she do???
This is surely a wise strategic decision that won't have unforseen consequences.

I'd sell a kidney to pilot a Zero with full ammo load.
Nowadays they'd probably do a gay missile barrage for Pearl Harbour's impact. God modern war is so gay.

Not even. Modern war would probably start with a cyber attack and a dirty bomb to poison everyone. Everything run off a computer. No opportunity to commit glorious sepukku by dive bombing a dirty American carrier while shouting BONZAI and holding the glory of the divine emporer in your heart.
We were literally born in the gayest, lamest era.

probably a cyber attack but not a dirty bomb (this would be a bad idea for any nation, it would be hard to keep allies/neutral powers after a move like this), I would guess we are likely to see it start by Russia trying to annex another part of the Ukraine, china trying to take Taiwan, Indian fighting with Pakistan and roping a superpower in, or India and china starting something over their shared boarder and the US coming to it's defense.
maybe a wildcard for something going on in Africa with china basically tying a noose around tons of the small countries there with debt, and another one for china trying to do something with Afghanistan.
>lamest era
>hypersonics have a chance to take out billions of dollars worth of equipment in minutes and no one has a way to defend.
>robot dogs and drone kill bots
we don't live in a lame era, we live in a peaceful one. I do wish I got to see so more equipment get field tested too.

Pressing buttons on a computer is gay. At least artillery units back in the day had to math, drone pilots literally play vidya halfway across the world. I cannot express my hatred of drone warfare enough. The industrial revolution as a whole took a lot of spirit out of warfare(no more steppe chads resetting eurasian civ every time we became soft as we are now) but still, you'd see functions of a will to fight like with Italy's shit performance in WW2. Or Germany's kino fight to the last man at Berlin.
If machines start fighting for us, the human element leaves warfare entirely. So does the romance. War goes from crescendos of human sentimentalism to balance sheet questions, can you produce more drones/mechas than your enemy.

I can't remember what it was called but it was a weapon that basically only killed people while leaving the infrastructure intact. Can't remember how it worked but it was pretty creepy, it wasn't a bio agent but... maybe I'm thinking of a low destructive yield nuclear weapon that was high on radiation. Creepy shit man.
I think high tec war is lame, there's little honour in it.

Most modern chemical agents will achieve the same thing on a smaller scale. High lethality, quick dispersion.

You just described a metagenic weapon. In the TNG Chain of Command two parter the Cardassians feigned developing them to lure Picard into their trap.

LOL, those Cardassians are bastards.
No I'm thinking of a Neutron Bomb. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neutron_bomb
Low ballistic yield, high radiation. Basically cook all your enemies with radiation while leaving the nice buildings and roads intact. Just need to wait a hundred years or so for the rads to go down enough to repopulate the areas.

They couldn't even get a full tank, what makes you think you can get full ammo?
For the WWII Ace Combat experience, it is better to fly a Mustang on the American side, and join the Great Mariana Turkey Shoot.
