トラ・トラ・トラ! On this day 80 years ago at 0600 (Honolulu) Marseysan took off the deck of the Akagi to secure the future of the Greater East Asian Co-Prosperity Sphere with the blessings of the Divine Emperor.

What will she do???

This is surely a wise strategic decision that won't have unforseen consequences.

IJN aviator Marsey brought to you by the gifted hand of @chiobu .

And to the modern day Akagi is an anime girl with huge tits.

On a non-weeb note; they are resurrecting the Kaga, the sister ship to Akagi that also attacked on D-Day, as a 'multi-purpose destroyer' which is really a helicopter carrier that will support F-35s. So we may not be far off from Akagi being resurrected. More importantly, this will cause cope and seethe in the future from China, US, and in Japan.

I've seen that, definitely a drama worthy move to christen a new carrier after a WW2 era one. I doubt anyone in the US will care because the Japs are on our side now. It'll definitely cause massive Chinese (and Korean) seethe though.

Koreans were literally Japanese foot soldiers and subjects lmao. How they got excused of it is probably the best diplomatic maneuvering history.

Same way the Albanians, Hungarians, Romanians, Bulgarians, and Finns conveniently forget that they fought alongside the Germans

Yep though basically no one goes after Korea for that compared to Kraut allies.

Though Finland is an interesting case in that they were the only democracy to side with the Axis.

It's also hard to blame them for it because the Soviets had invaded them and annexed their border region a year earlier.

Yeah, not to mention they sought Allied assistance during the Winter War during the German-Soviet Invasion of Poland but were rejected out of British/French fears of pissing off the Russkies. Out of all Axis and Axis allies, their cause seemed the most “just”.
