Drivers ARE criminally underpaid for doing most of the work.

Maintaining a gay little app is literally no work. Drivers do all the work, while subsidizing a buncha San Fran kids' rent.

I was thinking of the food delivery drivers (they don't make the food), but yea Uber drivers do indeed do nearly all the work.

The app creates literally all of the value, the braindead r-slurs following Google maps are replaceable cogs

Yeah, drivers have literally no value in this system (as it should be). One bucks and there are 5 more to replace them.

If the app provides no value, it's not like there are massive regulatory barriers to launching competitors these days. Uber did the hard work of clearing the path to legal operation, and they haven't gone onwards to regulatory capture IMO. Most competitors failed not because of red tape but for commercial reasons.

Network effects are valuable in and of themselves.

How fricking hard is it to push a pedal and follow Google maps? Do you go to college for that?
