TLDR:
He deserves it for being a g*mer π
Highlights:
Wh*toids when they realize Chicago isn't as bad as third world countries
I've never seen an economic situation like this, I've never seen this many homeless people
And that's although he's been "to every major city".
Kept my phone in my underwear the whole time, pull it out to check for my uber, immediately get hit
Smartest g*mer.
Tbf I didn't think Brazilians were capable of this.
I can hear the cop listening to a football game in the background.... They don't care.

Okay I got bored watching at this point so let's look at some comments :
The cathedral he went to is close to a region widely known as 'Crackland.' Needless to say, there are many fiends wandering around that area. Whenever traveling, always do some research and, if possible, ask locals where you should and shouldn't go. I'm half Brazilian and lived many years of my life there, and indeed, if you don't know how to navigate the country, it can be really dangerous. However, it's a big country with many beautiful tourist spots that are very safe. In a way, it's like the USAβgoing to someplace like Vermont is pretty chill, but I would never wander around Chicago.
"Widely known as crackland" ππππππππ Also Chicagoans thoughts on this Brazilian saying he'd never dare wander around Chicago because it's too dangerous? @FrozenChosen
Obv muricans are taking offense π‘π‘
Chicago is actually an awesome city, and you would be safe just about anywhere worth seeing. That crack must hit different there. In Oakland the crack addicts just want to fix my car and sweep the sidewalks lmao
Chicago's homicide rate is over 3 times higher than SΓ£o Paulo's.
SΓ£o Paulo's old center is basically what Americans call a Skid Row, some streets are taken my homeless people and drug addicts.
This thread then devolves into some odd Brazilian ritual chanting:
isso diz muito sobre nosso paΓs, acho incrΓvel como usar uma mochila nas costas Γ© meme pra um paulista por exemplo. Um gringo nΓ£o entende esse tipo de coisa porque ele nΓ£o conhece o que a gente passa no nosso dia a dia.
Idk either
From a brazilian cop, quick tip to you guys out there, if you want a tour around here and the city in itself is not a touristic one (the big ones usually aren't, an exception would be the cities by the beach) avoid the city center. They're usually the oldest district in town and normally hold the title for the worst neighborhoods around, having a high concentration of homeless people. I myself moved to a bigger city (Curitiba - ParanΓ‘) and felt this myself. Always ask around for the richest neighborhood, or the one that concentrates the entertainment, wich usually won't be the center. And for god's sake, stay WAAAAAY clear from any favela.
"If you're a tourist, DO NOT go to the only historically interesting parts of the cities."
