I feel like this is one of those old "someone's not telling the whole truth" situations. But it could also go kinda "I think everyone invloved should die. Wouldn't a psychology be able to get unlimited drugs without some idiot drug dealer? :marseyhmm:

Nope. USA drug prescribing, especially narcotics, is pretty strictly gatekept to medical doctors only. A psychology PhD holder never sets foot in a medical school. Some states are giving them limited abilities to prescribe SSRIs and stuff but not anything someone would abuse. * I should mention for completeness' sake that the Medical Doctor equivalent would be a psychiatrist, and the main difference between a psychologist and a psychiatrist is that the latter has gone through the medical school meatgrinder and has drug prescribing authority.

She's probably hopelessly addicted to heroin or something, deep in debt to a dealer, and got convinced to do this by him. Grim situation.
