hahahah! OP is trolling the group in his own way... Through sarcasm, he is taking a dig at the quality of posts (of late) here...In case he isn't and the joke is on me, then OP needs to change his username from richdoctormba to buntyaurbabli... (53)

You can't increase your expense beyond a level. Why do you think rich do funny stuff. Also don't expect the stock market returns to stay like this in future, but still you should not care.Still want to increase expenses but a yatch or airplane.PS: most people here are those who want to fatfire, not who reached that goal (1)

OP is bragging about how rich he is spending 1.2 cr == 12,000,000 INR ~ 143,000 USD and everyone is getting mad at him even though it's supposed to be a subreddit for rich techcels to brag/beg for arranged marriages.
In fairness, it is a shitload of money for India but also kind of hilarious in a global context.

I work on a team that's half Indian and somehow I've managed to avoid learning anything about their monopoly money. We're pretty much all business though, everyone's still remote and there's minimal friendly chitchat so I don't know anything about the mayos or Koreans either.

$150k perpetual passive income requires $5M net worth at 3% (which is quite safe), or $3M at 5% (which is more risky).
In the US that's only upper middle class (5% of households have $3M in financial assets alone! Plus a house worth another $1M+), but in most of the world, including most of the developed world, you're considered rich if you have $4M.

It's a troll post and all of his numbers are nonsense ("40-60% annual return") but in my book, top 5% is wealthy, not upper-middle class. When I have $3-4M you better believe I won't be working a job.
But you're right it's not like private-yacht rich.

True, but comparing e.g. to France, if you have $3M there you're in the richest 0.5%.
