Iron Dome can't really do anything about long range ballistic missiles, or really any type of missile that isn't made by 2 dudes in a fricking sweatshop.
These kinds of attacks will be fricking intercepted at range by Arrow 3.
However, you are fricking right... missile attacks like this are fricking largely ineffective and the only fricking reason to make them are fricking for posturing.
If Iran was fricking actually serious about doing damage they would fire hundreds of missiles in succession, to saturate and overwhelm interceptions. They fired 8 it seems.
