prepare for a divorce, lol just kidding. but perhaps not really... if you are not willing to try to have the same moral compass as her i can see things not working out for the long run, of course this is just imo

divorce wife over not being being vegan

honestly I thought there would be more drama as its 3 upvotes and 75 comments but around half the comments are actually helpful which is not good for dramacoin.

Don't worry fam, I'm gonna wait a few weeks and post basically the same thing but say I'm a big time hunter and fisherman and I couldn't give that up.

I'll be sure to include offhanded like coyote, because your average city slicker redditor thinks they're basically dogs.

That should get them going.

I wonder how much of that really is a geographic thing. I've dated a lot of rural foids, a few of them vegetarian, and they infinitely preferred when people ate hunted or fished up meat than store bought.

I have never met a Iowa vegan who wasn't going through a 3 day faze, but now that you say that I have seen vegans say that.

Basically every IRL vegans I've met have been some position of power over me or a customer of my company so I've avoided the subject and pretend to be happy eating only a salad if I have to meet with them for a lunch.

I agree with veganism philosophically and so I'm sympathetic to folks that subscribe to that or vegetarianism or whatever diet reduces individual footprints. I'd like to get there myself one day, but the reality I face is that good food is one of those things that keeps my own morale up through the week.

Ever since I changed my profile setting so that every reddit link is sorted by controversial automatically, I have to double-take when I see really reasonable comments:

My husband calls himself a "freegan". Since I do most of the shopping and the cooking, he eats vegan. But if we go to a party or get together where meat and other things are being served, he goes all in. His thing is not supporting the meat industry, so we don't spend money on that industry. But if it means that he's not directly contributing to it, then he's happy to eat non-vegan. It also took a while for him to stop purchasing dairy products. I used to still make him things with real egg for a while after I went vegan.

I think she should leave you. It's an ethical difference not a dietary one. There is no way I would be with a man so insensitive as you

These are just the nastiest, angriest people. Of all the scolds on the internet, vegans have to be the most pompous and aggressive. They're even worse than the anti-abortion types, and those people literally think babies are getting murdered.
