What the media has not been capturing is just how joyful and enthusiastic people are to vote for her. My husband says he hasn't seen this since Obama and it's even more poignant due to the anxiety of the voter base in the face of the fascist opposition.

I am a volunteer and am exposed to thousands of voters a day and you can't imagine the crying for joy, entire Republican families now for Harris, the signs in red country that used to be dominated by the orange shit, so many people who have never voted before now voting for her, the secretive votes of women to cancel out their husband's.

It's easier to sell doom and gloom than joy however joy and love of a woman will prevail in America. Keep the faith.

We hosted a party. We hosted a party to watch her win. I don't know if some younger women realize how certain we felt, and what it felt like to be sitting there with a whole bunch of women holding glasses of champagne and just… go silent.

I remember the room being so quiet and one friend of mine starting to cry and saying "They hate us. They really hate us."

And maybe that was an over reaction or an over simplification but at the time, it just felt that way, that they just couldn't let her - and by extension, us - win. I'll never assume any candidate I hope for can or will win, again.

Gosh this is good, where can i get more of this?

I work in mental health. I sat through a meeting yesterday with three colleagues and they were trying to explain why they thought Trump will win and that it'll all be okay at the end of the day. I wanted ideas on techniques to help patients if the election didn't go their way. I never got recommendations and I sat there in silence most of the meeting. I am black woman of childbearing age with parents who immigrated from Africa. The others were an older white guy and 2 menopausal white women. 🥴I want VP Harris to win and I already voted but I unfortunately wont be surprised if he wins.

This is what I'm feeling now, besides just plain SCARED. I'm 43 now and I'm just sick for younger women. I feel like apoligizing and yelling, "I'm sorry! I thought I screamed loud enough, I thought my struggles and mistakes and triumphs were lessons shared! I thought we all learned things!"
