DAO was the shit, I played a ton of it in College. DA2 is frustrating as it was almost a good game, but was rushed. I like the plot having Hawke fail to save the day 100% and mainly put out fires. But the cracks of the Action 'RPG' shit started here.

I mean BG3 has 60k players online right now and that game is over a year old.
Hogwarts legacy has 20k players online and is over 1.5 years old.
Cyberpunk has 25k and is 4 years old.
Witcher 3 has 13k and is 10 years old.
An AAA release going down to 5k in a month is not good regardless of whether it's single or multiplayer. Whether it actually will do that is another matter of course.

A game being single player has some bearing on player retention yes but look at Skyrim, Fallout, every simulation game, GTA 5 campaign, Witcher 3, Red Dead Redemption 1+2, Hollow Knight, Marvel's Spiderman, Portal 2, Like every single Metal Gear game, 10000 others that are successful long-term because they still have replayability value.
Of course there are exceptions (Baldur's Gate 3 is a notable recent exception) but this game not only has
shit but the developers are 
s and soys themselves so it will surely die an artless disastrous death. Over 90 percent drop in a month is not normal but that is what we will see from this mess if I had to bet on it.
