    His presence at the hearing was not required.
    The State judge allowed the status quo to continue.
    Removal to federal court is a routine procedure when there is diversity jurisdiction.
    His pledge asks people to affirm the First and Second Amendment to the Constitution, and therefore should not be seen as politically biased. In other words, someone could sign the pledge, vote for Harris, and get the $1 million prize.
    Musk is a citizen and cannot be deported.

This is where we start getting into the fundamental incompatibility of billionaires with a functional, law-abiding society.

There is no financial punishment they can levy against him that he can't simply absorb and deflect. Any fine, no matter how many hundreds of thousands or even millions of dollars, is just the cost of doing business for him β€” or he can just not pay them at all and stay wrapped up in court by proxy, his daily income far exceeding any legal fees he could possibly encounter.

Short of prison time, there is simply no way to incentivize a corrupt billionaire to follow the law. They have no need and no reason to. There is nothing they can do but try to imprison him, and that means spending millions and millions of dollars in taxpayer money trying to go up against the aforementioned endless resources he can dedicate to legal proceedings.

Just launch him into the fucking Sun already. I am so SICK and TIRED of this bullshit.
