YSL Trial Update Day 154 - Thug is a free man

We have exciting news in the YSl trial. Four defendants including Young Thug himself have plead out after a series of blunders by the state that finally pushed the Judge to the edge of granting oa mistrial. For those of you that haven't been following along this is the RICO trial of the rapper Young thug by the same DA in Atlanta that's prosecuting Trump.

We've had everything in this trial. Prosecutors lying to the court. Prosecutors withholding evidence. Shady 11th hour plea deals. A few months ago the presiding judge was recused from the case, which was a whole dramatic happening in and of itself, for having an illegal ex parte meeting with the prosecutors and a sworn witness. When confronted over this he chimped out and threw the defense lawyer in jail.

The new judge who has taken over has been more fair than the previous judge, but she's absolutely fed up with his case already.

So the background here is one of the defendants goes by the nickname quay. Defense attorneys specifically argued over this early today and said it should be redacted. We don't know who quay is in the post. And it could prejudice the quay on trial.

While arguing the motion the judge all but admits she's been working overtime to fix all the frick ups by the state, then, apparently realizing the futility of that endeavor turns around and leaves the door open for a mistrial.

Whitaker apparently thinks that "free qua" doesn't necessarily mean Qua was locked up??? Ok wtf lol

Court has been out of session since last Wednesday with rumors swirling of plea deals. Today Thug took his deal. Prosecutors asked for 25 years. Judge commuted it to time served after his lawyer pointed out a slew of misrepresentations made by the state. I think she may have actually given him a better deal than his lawyers asked for.

Case isn't over since two defendants won't take deals but I can only assume it'll be less dramatic with the loss of 4 defendants.
