That's probably the appropriate consequences for responding to a nice gesture with an insult. You get made fun of for a few days, then things go back to normal.

I mean, just one person here, but I think people deserve ridicule for responding to nice gestures with rude ones. Say, for example, saying "frick you" in coded language as a response to telling your kids Merry Christmas

The only consequence I think is appropriate is some public ridicule, as would be the case for anyone responding with "frick you" to wishing your kids a Merry Christmas
