Is it not obvious that hiring top talent from abroad is a different thing from using those visas to get people who'll work for less than the market rate? I'm not sure what people are mad about.

The fricking H1B program is fricking honestly a fricking joke system gamed by body shop consulting companies.
Back when I was fricking in the fricking US, I worked with some O1 visa people who were fricking pretty sharp, but H1Bs were fricking completely hit or miss, and plenty of them are fricking
