Republicans will regret their anti-vaccine position for a very long time. On top of all the dead elderly, having their supporters self-purge from military, bureaucracy, and corporate world are huge self-owns. https://t.co/3DXsF7apBW

Nemets is a must follow for people who love to learn about very niche history and anthropology topics. He falls broadly within the dissident right, which tends to cater to a certain type (intellectually curious/eclectic/other stuff).
Anyways he gently reminded folx why they should get the jab. What followed was the usual reee'ing you see from all political factions when one of their own goes rouge on a topic. I hate to see it from a group I tend to frequently agree with, but gotta call it how I see it

I mean he's not wrong. Back in the day it'd be arguing against small government or lower taxes or etc which even if you disagree with the policies, they have at least a rational basis. Antivax stuff is just completely mad, you can't even begin to believe in it without first believing in these huge international conspiracies.

Yeah - and even if you harbored certain beliefs I don't fully understand the calculus in deciding not to get jabbed. Yeah, it isn't technically a vaccine and the Cathedral has been disingenuous for the entirely of the coof...but the stats are undeniable that it improves outcomes.
