I would like to start House WTFwhogivesashit.

As much as drama lore detests wand and throne shit, now there's some plan to balkanize the board by starting "houses." When this site was new, so many people came here and said, "This is great. It has the refreshing feel of old r/drama and shitposting like on the internet of old." I know that I submit a lot, but I also enjoy coming here to be exposed to dramatic happenings on the internet or elsewhere that I did not know about. Lately, the front page is just crammed with posts that are meta. The site is starting to eagerly hufflepuff its own farts.

What is going to draw new users? I know that most people here are from reddit. It's been a place where, mostly, people who may not agree with or even like each other have been able to post together and put aside old differences to just enjoy drama. I've seen a couple of comments saying, "The site's getting better and better"...but I think it's flaming out in spectacular fashion because any new people who join are going to see mod drama they don't know or give a shit about, random bussypics that serve no purpose (I know bussy pics were a big part of r/drama) but now you have people just reposting bussy pics that have already been posted. The original liberty that the site represented gaining back all of the things that reddit admins hypocritically took from r/drama seems mostly gone in favor of meta, metameta, various narcissists making longposts about nothing at all and infighting.

Now we have "houses"? People are supposed to keep track of some deal with houses and some sort of game or something? No one's got time for that. They want to come here to post and see drama. They don't want to see a bunch of pissbabies fighting with each other and mods (I ain't gonna name specific ones) trying to make the site all about them instead of about drama and the various users. The site here right now is almost NOTHING like r/drama was. Looking at it for the past week or so I can't see anything that would attract new people to join and start posting. It's becoming "cliquey" and gross, to be honest.

It's not going to attract people to the site. It's not even uniting the people who post on the site.

Raids though too... one house attacks the other and then based on some kind of stats, successful rolls give all the house members a pizza award or 1 day ban or something. Houses could have stas only they can see and you'd have to guess whether or not your house is strong enough to out-stat who youre raiding.

WTF even is this? This is a site for posting drama, I thought. This other noise is just bullshit and IMO is going to destroy the place.

If you look at the Kiwifarms thread about drama.net you have several complimentary comments. One of them is someone saying that they read a thread here about witchesvspatriarchy and the comments made them laugh. All this "houses" bullshit is going to cause strife and annoyance. The place will cease to be fun and lighthearted. Why not take the site back to its purpose and reclaim the refreshing atmosphere of freedom to post about drama and dump all of this r-slurred metadrama and complicated bullshit involving houses? There. I said it.
