Here's how I picture the "collapse" going for all these middle-class redditors

  • All these kids with stars in their eyes move to the big city
  • They live paycheck to paycheck as rentcels because they're too stubborn to move somewhere affordable
  • They complain about their lifestyle for another 10 years
  • Over the next 20 years all of their parents die and they inherit all of the wealth they complain about boomers hoarding and they never have to face the consequences of their actions
  • The cycle repeats

The cycle cant repeat when they leach off it for the rest of their lives. They wont have kids either so when they die whatevers left goes to the nursing home or hospice.
