I know that most of you people barely care about real news, but I haven't seen any posting about Breyer's retirement from the Supreme Court here.

Something, something, I'll try to post idiot redditors takes on this, or highlight idiots perspective on why this matters.

I heard about it, but it isn't drama. Totally expected. Biden's going to pick a fairly young female POC who is relatively unknown to replace him. Bank on it. No way he's picking Kamala or Hillary. No one who is a known quantity with known baggage.

It is fairly rare, in the entire history of the US Supreme Court for anyone to officially retire. They usually die off.

They learned from Ginsburg though. I wonder if Breyer is ill. He's been pressured to step down so Biden can get a nominee.
